At BAUMA 2025, scaffolding manufacturer ALFIX GmbH is once again best equipped with new product innovations. We’re proud to showcase the all-round solution for work regardless of weather conditions, The ALFIX Temporary Roof Vario, as well as the further developed modular scaffolding system ALFIX MODUL MULTI 4.0 and an additional convenient stair solution for public areas.
As part of moderated assembly demonstrations, ALFIX offered several presentations a day of the intuitive use of their folding advanced side protection solution, the ALFIX and UNIFIX TRBS guardrails.
In addition to these innovative scaffolding solutions, ALFIX also set new standards for safety and digitalisation. With the ALFIX safety door, the company offers additional protection on the construction site, while the free ALFIX SMART ID app now provides even more information for an efficient management of your own scaffolding inventory.
ALFIX SMART ID – Product information and technical documentation for any item can be accessed at any time with a simple scan
The ALFIX SMART ID app is a digital tool for the identification of scaffolding components, offering registered users worldwide an effective theft protection for their scaffolding property. It provides comprehensive information on all scaffolding components, including which are part of the standard versions along with their corresponding QR codes and ID numbers. With the help of this well-thought-out identification solution, scaffolding components can clearly be assigned to their respective owners. Simply scan the QR code on the scaffolding element, log in to your personal account, and access all relevant component information. The ALFIX SMART ID app not only shows whether the scanned component belongs to your inventory, but also allows you to see when it was purchased.
Thanks to a recent upgrade, the app now also allows direct access to safety-relevant documents such as approvals, instructions for assembly and use, as well as further documents and data sheets which are always available as the most current version. With just a few clicks, technical documents can be easily accessed using a smartphone and the app. By scanning any ALFIX component (provided with a QR code and SMART ID at the factory), the user is shown a clear overview of all available documents for the respective component or scaffolding system.
In the age of smartphones and tablets, this app gives the user full access to the current technical documents from the extensive ALFIX product portfolio on the construction site. Instructions for assembly and use that every scaffolding manufacturer must provide to its users are available to be accessed digitally around the clock. This significantly reduces the risk of incorrect assembly, unstable scaffolding, and any related accidents on site. Further information such as data sheets on load information like load tables for lattice girders, for example, can also be accessed digitally and can be implemented by the scaffolders without losing time or costing additional effort. Thanks to the new information function of the free ALFIX SMART ID app, incomplete, outdated, or missing instructions for assembly and use as well as approvals on construction sites are now a thing of the past.
ALFIX safety door – the innovative safety solution between the staircase and the roof edge protection
The ALFIX safety door is a practical solution for closing direct access from the roof edge protection to the scaffolding stair tower safely, conveniently, and in accordance with the regulations. When installed correctly, the door opens in the direction of the roof edge protection, ensuring a gapless edge protection. Thanks to its self-closing function, the door prevents an opening in the direction of fall when impacted by objects or people.
To complete the roof edge protection, the ALFIX safety door is combined with existing roof edge protection nets. After the safety door has been installed, the roof edge protection net is continuously installed in both directions, in accordance with the specifications of the protection net and scaffolding manufacturer, as well as in compliance with the regulations of the German Social Accident Insurance Institution.
What’s especially practical is that the installation of the roof edge protection with this system does not require any additional special parts aside from the ALFIX safety door, as this is integrated into the ongoing roof edge protection system in a user-friendly way. This adds value in terms of safety on site while also being cost-effective. On account of the compact dimensions (less than 2.00 X 0.50 m) and the fact that only one access door is required per stair tower, the additional space required for transport and storage of the safety door is minimal. In short: The ALFIX safety door allows for maximum safety with minimal effort, all in accordance with all regulations.

In the year it was launched, the ALFIX TRBS guardrail was already awarded the BG Bau EuroTest Prize for outstanding achievements in occupational health and safety at BAUMA 2022.
